Roskomnadzor blocked Patreon and Grammarly

Patreon and Grammarly resources have been blocked in Russia. The RKN made such a decision at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office – on the basis of a violation of the law “On Information”. It, among other things, concerns the dissemination of unreliable publicly significant information under the guise of reliable messages.

  • Patreon is a platform for creators that allows you to open access to content for a paid subscription. Donations are also collected through it, for example, YouTube channels and podcasts.
  • Grammarly is an online service for helping you write texts in English. Using artificial intelligence, it makes recommendations regarding the correctness, clarity and tone of the message.
