Warner Bros. took up the continuation of the 2005 action movie “Constantine” with Keanu Reeves in the title role. The film will be directed by the director of the original film, Francis Lawrence, also known for the Hunger Games franchise. The script will be written by Akiva Goldsman (I, Robot, A Beautiful Mind).
The sequel is being produced by Goldsman, JJ Abrams and Hannah Minghella of Bad Robot. While the picture is at an early stage of development, so it is too early to talk about the timing of its release. Plus, Lawrence has a pretty busy schedule right now, with references to the Hunger Games prequel and the BioShock movie for Netflix.
The film “Constantine: Lord of Darkness” tells about the exorcist John Constantine, who managed not only to visit hell, but also to return from there. The plot is based on the Hellblazer comic book series published by DC Comics.
